AC Installation & Replacement in Texas

Right-sized system replacement with proper load calculations, correct line-set work, and clean commissioning.

Air Conditioning Installation and Replacement

What this service covers

Replacing an air conditioner in your city is a decision that follows you for the next twelve to eighteen years, so we treat the sizing and the installation as seriously as the equipment choice. Every your city air conditioning installation starts with a load calculation based on your square footage, insulation, window area, ceiling height, and duct condition, not a guess based on the old unit's badge. An oversized system short cycles, never pulls humidity out of the air, and leaves you clammy at 74 degrees. A properly sized system runs longer, dries the air, and costs less to operate.

What we handle

  • Complete central air system changeouts
  • Condenser and evaporator coil matched replacements
  • Air handler and furnace coil installations
  • Line set replacement, flushing, and repair
  • Properly sized ductwork and plenum modifications
  • Smart and programmable thermostat setup
  • Concrete pad, hurricane strap, and disconnect work
  • Whole-home load calculations and airflow balancing
  • High-efficiency and variable-speed system upgrades
  • Ductless mini split installation for additions and garages

Signs you need this service

  • The system is over twelve years old and needs a major repair
  • Repair cost is approaching a third of replacement cost
  • The unit still uses R-22 refrigerant, which is expensive and phased out
  • Rooms have never cooled evenly since the day you moved in
  • Utility bills keep climbing with no change in habits
  • The compressor has failed and the system is out of warranty

Questions

AC Installation & Replacement FAQs

How much does a new AC system cost in your city?

Price depends on tonnage, efficiency rating, whether the furnace or air handler is being replaced at the same time, and what the ductwork needs. We quote three options in writing so you can see exactly what the extra money buys before deciding.

How long will a new system last in Texas?

Twelve to eighteen years is typical for a properly installed and maintained system in your city. Texas runtime hours are high, so maintenance has an outsized effect on lifespan compared with cooler climates.

Do I need to replace the indoor unit too?

Usually yes. Mismatched indoor and outdoor components rarely deliver the rated efficiency, and manufacturers generally will not warrant a mismatched pair. We will tell you if your existing coil is genuinely compatible.

Will a higher SEER unit actually save me money?

In your city, with a long cooling season, the payback on efficiency is better than in most of the country. Whether it pays for you depends on runtime, duct condition, and how long you plan to stay in the home. We show the operating-cost math rather than asking you to take it on faith.

Do you fix duct problems during a replacement?

Yes, and we recommend it. A new high-efficiency system connected to leaking or undersized ducts will never perform to its rating. Duct corrections are quoted as a visible line item so you can see the cost separately.

How long does the installation take?

Most your city changeouts are completed in a single day. Larger jobs with duct modifications or electrical work can extend into a second day, and we tell you that up front rather than discovering it mid-install.
